Welcome and thank you for your interest in the Worship Pastor position at Murdale Baptist Church! MBC is a vibrant, multi-generational church located in Carbondale, IL, and serving the Southern Illinois area. Our vision is to create a community of authentic believers and to witness Southern Illinois transformed by the life-changing reality of the gospel, as people come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Founded in 1956, MBC hosts a congregation of approximately 300 worshippers each Sunday and is a member of the Southern Baptist Convention. Our core beliefs may be found by clicking the link bellow.

We view the Worship Pastor not just as a musical director, but as a shepherd who helps our church family connect with the heart of God through song, prayer, and creative expression. If you have a passion for leading others into the presence of the Lord and a heart for the local church, we invite you to prayerfully consider this opportunity.

We are excited to see how God leads our congregation, and we look forward to getting to know you! Click the link bellow to review our job description before submitting your application.
