Summer brings the opportunity for kids to learn about following Jesus in fun and creative ways.
During June - August, we have WILD LIVE where we learn about animals in their habitats all around the world and we learn how we can show Christ's Character in our lives in our Habitats!
Registration for MBC Summer Camp is now open!

Start children off on the way they should go,

Our Heart for MBC Kids Ministry

Murdale Baptist Church fosters worship and spiritual growth as a family unit. Nursery care is available for our Worship Services for children birth through 3 years old.  Children 4 years old and older are learning to engage in worship and what it means to meet with God each week within their family unit.  Quiet activities are provided to help engage children during worship.  Life Groups are available for all ages to help build a firm spiritual foundation. Additional children's activities are available at other times during the week.

Current Children's Activities - (School Year - Sept.-May)

Throughout the school year (Sept-May), activities are planned to engage children in learning more about Faith in Jesus.  Each area of activity is age and interest based.  To learn more on how you can get your child involved, click on the links below. We would love to have them join us!

Wednesday 6:30-7:30

The name AWANA is an acrostic which stands for "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed" and is taken from 2 Timothy 2:15. Throughout the school year, there is a weekly club on Wednesdays where children play, laugh and learn the importance of hiding God's Word in their hearts.

Upward Sports

Our Upward Season is Jan - Mar packed full with practices and ongoing league games for Basketball and Cheerleading. Registration for the Upcoming Season begins in October 2023 with our Team Evaluations Mid-November. Click the link below to find our more about our Upcoming Season!

CEF Good News Club at General John A. Logan Elementary

Now, more than ever, children need the Gospel. A Good News Club meets kids right where they are...in schools (yes, schools!)  MBC Children's Ministry Volunteers take CEF Good News Club to a local elementary school.  This club last six week in the Fall and Spring. Each week we present the kids with the timeless truths of the Bible in exciting, engaging ways. Children learn the Gospel, and get to know Jesus as their Savior. If you want to be a part of this outreach, contact the church office or fill out the request info section at the bottom of this page.

We encourage our parents to help their children engage during the worship time. Busy Bags are located outside our Library area and provide quiet activities to for short attention spans during the teaching time in worship.

The Parent Room

On the days when teaching your children about church is hard...have a seat in the Parents Room!  There is a life video feed of the Worship Service so you don't miss a thing along with diaper changing supplies, breastfeeding privacy screen and quiet activities to help settle a fussy child. Located off the Main Sanctuary Entrance.

Life Groups:

Sunday Mornings

Every aspect of our Children's Ministry is to connect with children and their families and to partner with parents to provide the spiritual, social, physical and emotional ingredients necessary to form a firm foundation for a lifetime of faith in Christ Jesus. It is our privilege to serve and work with you in this spiritual training.  We believe that children are never too young to hear about how much Jesus loves them. Even our littlest ones receive personal care and attention, and as they grow, they learn that God is always with them.
*Life Group classes are provided for children birth through 5th Grade.

*Birth through 2 years old are given directed care focusing on God's love for them according to their attention span.

*Pre-K - 5th Grade provides a weekly curriculum for children to study the Bible and apply biblical truths on their learning level.

Check out our Children's Ministry Areas

Each area of our Nursery and Children's Wings are designed with age-appropriate decorations and curriculum in mind.    The safety and security of all children is a top priority at MBC. All of our adult volunteers have passed background checks to ensure another layer of safety, as well as a security team that is available if needed.. Our Nursery wing has a secure sign-in procedure which is another layer of watchful care over our youngest attenders.

MBC Courtyard

In addition to our indoor classroom facilities, our children's ministry activities enjoy the MBC Courtyard that is attached to  the Children's wing of our facility.  This area is enclosed for the safety of our children and provides lots of ways for children of all ages to play outdoors.
